As a Title I school, we as teachers each have an Apple MacBook Pro laptop and an iPad 2. On our MacBook pro we have two web browsers--Safari (Apple version) and Internet Explorer (Windows version.) As a Mac user myself, I prefer the Apple side of my computer because it is what I use for all my personal usage. Although at my desktop computer, where I do most of my college class work, I use Internet Explorer. Each browser is completely different so I am constantly learning new tools and tricks to navigate them.
A browser add on can also be called a toolbar. It is a place that can aid in navigating pages quickly and to bookmark specific sites that may be used frequently. I am using my toolbar on my desktop computer to bookmark all the sites I may use within my classes. So far I have Pandora Radio, Blogger, Gmail, ISTE NETS for teachers, Diigo, and Diigolet. It has been of great help to me since I can open multiple pages and reference each site as I need to. As I play around with these add ons and my toolbar, I am in the process of still learning a lot. My experience is limited but with as convienent as it has been so far, I hope to learn more about it.

Teachers:I think this standard closely matches the activity because this is new technology to me. Also, these sites such as Diigo allow you to communicate with each other and share valuable sources.
